Within the Project Registro nazionale degli eventi coronarici e cerebrovascolari maggiori (National Register of major coronary and cerebrovascular events), the 28-day case fatality for coronary and cerebrovascular events was calculated for men and women aged 35-74 years in the following study areas: Brianza, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Modena, Florence, Rome, Naples and Caltanissetta.
