Since the beginning of 2006, when the training plan started, until June 2010 the researchers involved in the CUORE Project have been travelling all over Italy meeting more than 3400 general practitioners (279 trainers, 3177 participants) and observing a growing interest towards prevention. The course, built on the solid basis of the scientific knowledge about the global absolute cardiovascular risk assessment, is re-designed on the basis of the interests and needs of  involved area and incorporates the regional plans for prevention presented by the National Centre for Disease Control and Prevention.
