To support the activities of the European project BRIDGE Health at national level, the Italian Ministry of Health (Center for Disease Control, CCM) has also launched the CCM-BRIDGE project “Creation and development of the Italian network to support the European project BRIDGE Health aimed to support structuring and sustainability of the European activities in health information (HI)”. The project was led and coordinated by the National Institute of Health.
The aim of the project was to verify and improve the availability of health information to organize and develop an integrated, sustainable and standardized National Health Information System (HI) to serve both as the Italian hub for a future European infrastructure and as a source of data, tools and methods for health research. The objectives of the CCM-BRIDGE project included the strengthening of the activities of the European Project BRIDGE Health and in particular:
to develop an integrated and sustainable system of HI, as a proposal of national infrastructure.

The four Working Groups (WP) contributed to the drafting of a Final Report “CCM-BRIDGE Project report” summarizing activities and main achievements of the project. The four Working Groups encouraged and supported the field work group of experts and collaborated in the delivery of the Manual of operations “Platform for population based registries” of the WP8, Task 1 (pdf 1,6 Mb); due to their experience they collaborate also in the delivery of the Report “Guidelines for training personnel involved in population based registries”, of the WP8, Task 1 (pdf 872 kb).
