At the European level, databases from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Statistical Office of the European Communities (EUROSTAT) and the MONICA-WHO Project are available.

 

At the national level, individual databases are available as well. Due to differences among countries in data collection methods and analysis of diagnostic categories, data comparison remains difficult.
